CSA technicians routinely utilize a variety of equipment and instruments to plan, implement, and conduct technical field operations, such as underwater video and still photography (diver-held, towed video and still camera systems; ROV operations), oceanographic data collection and monitoring (wave, tide, and current recording equipment; water quality instrumentation and sensors), geophysical surveys (side-scan sonar and subbottom profiling), and geotechnical sampling (vibracoring and sediment sampling).
Mr. Powell began his career with CSA as a marine technician in 1983. He will leave his current position as the director of CSA’s Programs Department in order to focus his energies on managing and expanding the Marine Services Business Line. His managerial experience combined with his technical knowledge provides insight to this market.
