CSA opened this branch office in Trinidad in 2006 to better facilitate in-country and regionally located projects by providing both a logistic and administrative base for operations, including local legal representation, accounting, and banking relations. In addition to its office facilities, CSA maintains a storage warehouse with a substantial inventory of marine survey equipment to expedite project mobilization, minimize start-up time, and maximize cost effectiveness. As necessary, this inventory is supplemented by the substantial marine survey equipment resources available at CSA’s Florida facilities.
The Trinidad and Tobago branch office is managed by Mr. Carlyle Kalloo, a highly experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional, with special emphasis on regulatory environmental enforcement, operational HSE implementation, and analytical laboratory techniques. As a former environmental regulator, Mr. Kalloo has been instrumental in the initial implementation of legislation pertaining to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. He has managed and participated in this process through the scoping of various project types (including upstream oil and gas) that require impact assessment with associated studies to improve decision-making involving environmental issues by ensuring that project plans are environmentally sound and sustainable.
