CSA Delivers Marine Environmental Expertise in Support of Sustainable Offshore Energy Exploration in Trinidad & Tobago

The recent issuance of a Certificate of Environmental Clearance (CEC) to a leading oil and gas operator by Trinidad and Tobago’s Environmental Management Authority (EMA) for the offshore exploration of wells, offshore the north coast, Trinidad represents an important milestone for the country’s energy sector and regulatory framework. The approval underscores the role of robust science, transparent engagement, and regulatory diligence in enabling responsible offshore exploration. This work demonstrates how science-led environmental assessment and structured stakeholder engagement can effectively support regulatory review and approval.
