CSA T&T Women's leadership conference

Broadening Perspectives: CSA Ocean Sciences at the AMCHAM T&T Women’s Leadership Conference 2026

At CSA, we are committed to continuous learning, professional development, and fostering diverse perspectives across our teams. Recently, two of our Project Scientist attended the AMCHAM T&T Women’s Leadership Conference 2026, an experience that offered valuable insights beyond the traditional scope of our work.

With strong foundations in marine science and active roles as consultants within a predominantly male-centered industry, our team members are well-versed in navigating technical environments that prioritize science, precision, and operational outcomes. However, this conference provided a different lens, one that emphasized leadership, inclusion, and the human dimensions of professional growth.

The event brought together a diverse group of women in leadership to explore themes of mentorship, allyship, and shared advancement. Through a series of engaging sessions and discussions, attendees were encouraged to reflect on how inclusive leadership practices can shape stronger, more innovative organizations.

For our Scientists, the experience was both refreshing and thought-provoking. The shift in atmosphere, from highly technical desktop and field experiences to a space centered on personal and professional growth, highlighted the importance of balance between technical expertise and interpersonal awareness. Conversations focused not only on overcoming challenges but also on building supportive networks and creating opportunities for others.

Operating within the oil and gas and marine industry, where gender disparities still exist, the conference reinforced the value of fostering inclusive environments that empower all professionals to contribute fully. The emphasis on allyship and collaboration resonated strongly, emphasizing that meaningful progress requires collective effort across all levels of an organization.

At CSA, we recognize that technical excellence is only one part of delivering impactful solutions. Experiences such as the AMCHAM T&T Women’s Leadership Conference 2026 play a critical role in shaping well-rounded professionals who bring both expertise and empathy to their work.

We are proud to support our team in pursuing opportunities that broaden their perspectives and strengthen their contributions, not only to our organization, but to the wider industry as well.
