CSA Ocean Sciences Welcomes Two New Team Members to Its Growing Operations Department

CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA) is excited to welcome two new members to our expanding Operations Department based in Stuart, Florida. As CSA continues to support a growing portfolio of marine, environmental, and geophysical projects around the world, we are further strengthening our team with experienced and talented ocean professionals who marry proven technical expertise and a true passion for thorough marine science. In this latest blog post, we profile CSA’s latest recruits: Lisa Buckfield-Hill and Jonathan Brown.

Lisa Buckfield-Hill: Marine Geoscientist

Lisa joins CSA with extensive experience in offshore geoscience and environmental survey operations. Her background includes leadership roles in geophysical data acquisition and interpretation for offshore wind development, oil and gas block surveys, and pipeline and cable route investigations.

Lisa earned her Master of Science in Marine Science and Environmental Management and Bachelor of Science in Ocean and Coastal Resources from Texas A&M University at Galveston.

Lisa’s professional trajectory has taken her from autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) operations with Oceaneering International to geophysical development with the Xodus Group and technical leadership with Geo Marine Survey Systems. Lisa’s specialisms include marine stratigraphy, geochemical analysis, and environmental reconstruction.

Jonathan Brown: Operations Specialist

Jonathan has a strong background in offshore operations and project coordination, having played a lead role in supporting survey logistics, vessel mobilization, and equipment deployment for complex marine environmental and geophysical projects around the world. His expertise includes managing operational workflows and guaranteeing compliance with safety and quality standards in dynamic offshore environments. Jonathan earned his Master of Arts in Biology from the University of North Florida and his Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Jonathan will play a key role in supporting the growing list of CSA deployments around the world, advancing the company’s commitment to delivering the gold standard in scientifically robust marine data and analysis for clients across the government, defense, and offshore energy markets.

Johnathan shared, “CSA’s reputation for delivering multidisciplinary marine science projects around the world is second to none, so I am looking forward to contributing to the next chapter of the company’s ambitious growth plans.”
